2. Suddenly my ID and/or Passwords do not allow me to get into My Accounts. What happened?
A. First, double check that you are using the correct Username and Password, and please remember that they are case sensitive - capital and lower case letters do matter!
Secondly, make sure the data originally entered for your credit card is still valid (this is located on the Change Data page). Your account will be renewed with the credit card we have on file. If you have a new credit card number, an expired card or a card that is at its limit, we will not be able to renew you account. Your account will be blocked after 5 calendar days and you will receive a notice via email. If we do not hear from you in 60 days after emailing you, we have the right to delete your account with all information contained therein and we are not responsible for the loss of data.
If you correct the data with valid credit card information within 5 days after our email to you, no charge is due. After 5 days and within 60 days a once-only reconnection fee of $3.00 is due.
3. I did not get an email from you informing me that my credit card was not valid anymore. What happened?
A. Please verify that the email address you gave us is still correct (this is located on the Change Data page). If not, please update your email address.
If your account with us has been blocked because your credit card is not accessible to us, changing the email address will NOT unblock your account. Please check and change your credit card information in the Change Data page.
4. I clicked on one of the web sites listed in My Accounts, but it is not coming up. What happened?
A. Try to access the site from your internet browser (not via this program). Perhaps their site is down or the web address has changed. Also, check that the web address has been entered correctly in My Accounts.
5. After clicking on a web address in My Accounts, I still need to go to another page to log in to that site. Is there a shortcut?
A. Go to the web site using your standard internet connection (not this program), click on Log-in and write down the exact web address shown in the address window. Type that address in the listing for that site in My Accounts. (E.g. you might type https://internetbanking.suntrust.com, not http://www.suntrust.com.) This saves you time by taking you directly to the log in page instead of the Home Page.
6. I feel you are offering a wonderful service at a modest price. How can I let my friends know?
A. Click on the button below, fill out the email address or addresses and send.

7. After clicking on a web site listed in My Accounts, the web site comes up, but no pop-up of my ID and password for that site appeared. What happened?
A. Most likely you have one or more pop-up blockers installed. Pop-up blockers are now included with most internet browsers, anti-virus software, and even various "toolbars" downloaded from your internet service provider, or other companies like Yahoo! and Google. Turn off all pop-up blockers that you are aware of and see if the site works correctly. If so, begin turning the pop-up blockers on one by one. You can enter idprotectu.com in your list of allowed sites.
For Internet Explorer 6
1. Start Internet Explorer
2. On the tools menu, click pop-up blocker and pop-up blocker settings.
3. Type "www.idprotectu.com" in the address or website to allow box

10. Click add
11. Click OK twice to exit the menus
8. I need more than 15 listings in My Accounts. Can I purchase additional listings?
A. Yes. Your My Accounts page can hold up to 90 web site listings! Additional boxes can be purchased on the "Change Data" page for $0.29/month or $3.00/year for the first 15 extra listings purchased. The more you buy, the more the rate goes down per box. The additional cost for members paying monthly will be added to the next automatic monthly payment, and for members paying annually the amount will be pro-rated depending on the number of months remaining until your next annual automatic payment, with a minimum payment of $1.00.
9. I purchased additional My Accounts listings and I don't need them anymore. Can I go back to just the original 15 listings?
A. Yes. This is done on the "Change Data" page. Additionally purchased web site listings are not refunded once the billing cycle has begun.
10. Why is it important to have a web-based password manager?
Storing your passwords and confidential data on your hard drive leaves it susceptible to crashes and hackers. It is estimated that in 2005, 1% of all hard drives in use will fail. That means THREE MILLION hard drives in the USA. Read more about hard drives vs. web-based here.
11. How do I know your site and software are secure?
IDProtectu.com is accessed via the internet, instead of being loaded on your hard drive. Supervised servers, which are backed up daily and utilize state-of-the-art security technologies maintain the software. Encryption, updated firewall protection and other security software protect all accounts, which are screened for hacker activity. Read the full details of our security here.
12. What happens at the end of my 30 day free trial?
We hope after 30 days you have found our program to be easy to use and beneficial. If you do not cancel your membership, your monthly or annual selection made upon registration will begin. To cancel your membership with IDProtectu.com, please visit the "Change Data" page.
13. I logged in several minutes ago, but now I'm being asked to log in again. Why?
For security purposes, if you are logged in more than 20 minutes you will see a popup appear giving you the opportunity to continue another 20 minutes, without having to login again, provided you react within 60 seconds to click the continue button. If you do not react within 60 seconds, you automatically be logged out. This is for your own safety, in case you forget to log out of your account before walking away from the computer.
14. Why is there a charge from "the Franken Co. Inc" on my credit card?
The Franken Co. is the parent company of IDProtectu. All charges to your credit card (annual and monthly renewals, etc.) will appear on your credit card as "The Franken Co., Inc." You may see a small "pending charge" on your credit card when you sign up for the free trial. This is simply a pre-authorization to insure that the credit card is real. It will disappear within a few days.
